TRACKING THE ONE TRUE PATH

Saturday, January 21, 2006
LAST year, there was reason to hope for a creative fix out of the quagmire we're in.This time, people are just tired. They're just waiting. Waiting. Waiting for something to happen. Waiting for hope. Waiting to take their cue to act.

Some people I know, of course, would rather cling to the pathetic status quo, allowing their otherwise brilliant minds, to be duped with government propaganda.
As for Gloria, what can I say, she's on top of the world. Tougher than ever. Astute as can be. Never been stronger. Unbeatable. Champion of the common ass lickers. That now, she has no way else to go but down, and I don't mean literally. Let me explain...

Imagine that last July 8, 2005 all she ever wanted was just to cling to the presidency. By some foul effect of the magic Tabako, she discovered come January she has more than what she bargained for. She can now practically enshrine her toilet paper and call it the constitution.
So far, Gloaria has succeeded in driving her enemies down or underground, not even giving them the satisfaction of a false sense of victory.
Her power, virtually, grows with every storm she survives. Before she realizes it, after surviving a genuine coup attempt, she has already metamorphosed into a marcosian dictator all by her lonesome self and she would have been a total disgrace to the Macapagal family name.
Gloria just can't see the cruel joke her ambition has made of her.
Well, as Bunye put it, the worst is over, remember? So, the people are forced to play the waiting game, the last game in town. They are forced to wait for what happens beyond worst. Will Gloria out-do Marcos? Will a coup serve as closure to her illegitimacy issue? Or closure to her so-called regime?
